Tonasco Malaysia Sdn Bhd invites experienced professionals for the role of Quality Control (CMM) Assistant Manager / Manager. You will lead the QC department's daily operations, focusing on precise measurement and problem solving in a high-precision environment.

Responsibilities include supervising QC technicians, overseeing incoming/outgoing quality control, managing CMM and metrology equipment, and ensuring ISO quality standards through calibration, GR&R, and SPC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Quality Management.
• 5–7 years in quality control, 2 years in a management role.
• Proficient with QC measurement equipment: CMM, video measurement, micrometers, gauges.
• Strong knowledge of reading technical drawings, GD&T and industry quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the QC department and QC technicians to ensure maximum throughput.
• Enforce strict inspection protocols for incoming raw materials, and final components before shipping.
• Oversee first-article inspection (FAI) for new drawings in production and for outsource parts
• Direct the generation, verification, and digital storage of high-accuracy quality inspection reports.
• Oversee high-precision metrology assets including CMM, Vision Measurement Systems, micrometers, gauges.
• Guarantee 100% compliance with strict equipment calibration schedules and maintain flawless traceability logs.
• Lead troubleshooting activities for measurement issues during series production and provide technical guidance to staff.
• Segregate non-conforming parts to MRB and log non-conformance in ERP.
• Apply SPC tools to identify variation patterns on the production line
• Train and mentor junior inspectors and QC technicians on inspection techniques, GD&T, and calibration.
