Job summary

Tiau Yoke Food Sdn Bhd is a food manufacturing facility located in Kepong. We are seeking a detail‑oriented QC Assistant to support food safety, quality and halal compliance activities on the production floor.

You will monitor production lines, assist with audits, and maintain records to ensure products meet company and regulatory standards. Fresh graduates are welcome, with 1–2 years QA/QC experience considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM, STPM or a Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; 1–2 years QA/QC in food manufacturing is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of Food Safety standards (HACCP, GMP or Halal) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect production line.
• Carry QC initiatives to maintain and improve product quality.
• Monitor hygiene and cleanliness of the product area.
• Perform and compile daily QC reports.
• Attend audits and inspections by government bodies.
• Assist in monitoring compliance with SOPs, food safety and halal standards.
• Maintain accurate food safety and halal records.
• Report quality issues and non-conformities to QA team.
• Assist in investigating customer complaints and product-quality issues.
• Support product traceability, mock recalls and sample collection as required.

The role involves conducting routine inspections, maintaining records, assisting with audits, and ensuring that our food products and operations meet company and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect production line
• Carry necessary QC initiative and implementation in order to maintain and improve quality standard of products
• Monitor hygiene and cleanliness of the product area
• Perform and compile daily QC reports
• Attend audit and inspection by government bodies
• Assist in monitoring compliance with company SOPs, food safety requirements, and halal standards
• Maintain accurate food safety and halal records
• Report quality issues and non-conformities to the Halal cum QA Senior Executive
• Assist in investigating customer complaints and product-quality issues
• Support product traceability exercises, mock recalls, and sample collection when required

About you

• Minimum SPM, STPM, or a Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or a related field
• Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply; 1-2 years of experience in food manufacturing QA/QC is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of Food Safety standards (HACCP, GMP, or Halal regulations) is highly preferred
• Meticulous, highly observant, detail-oriented, and able to work on the production floor
• Able to communicate and write reports in basic Bahasa Melayu and English
• Able to work at Kepong
