Job summary

NL Metals Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer in Johor Bahru to ensure the quality and consistency of manufacturing processes and products. This full-time role reports to the QA/QC Manager based in Johor Bahru.

You will evaluate quality strategies, conduct root cause investigations, maintain calibration records, and drive ISO9001:2015 implementation while coordinating with cross-functional teams to uphold high standards of quality, environment and safety.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (required).
• 2–3 years experience in quality assurance or quality control in manufacturing.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and QC documents.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate quality strategies and systems to ensure parts conform to quality standards.
• Conduct root cause investigations when quality issues arise; communicate findings and train staff on improvements and preventative measures.
• Establish manufacturing inspection test processes ensuring component dimensions meet drawings.
• Arrange calibration of test equipment and maintain calibration records up to date.
• Liaise with other departments to resolve quality-related issues including customer complaints, internal quality issues and incoming raw materials.
• Prepare samples, inspection reports and First Article reports per customer requirements.
• Ensure in-process control systems are in place and effectively carried out.
• Ensure effectiveness of ISO9001:2015 implementation.
• Establish, maintain and ensure consistent implementation of quality, environment and safety management systems.

As an Quality Assurance Engineer at NL Metals Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our manufacturing processes and products. Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, this full-time position is based in Johor Bahru, Johor.

What you'll be doing

• To evaluate quality strategies and system to ensure conformity of parts to quality standards.
• Conduct root cause investigations when quality issues do arise, communicate, findings and train staff on improvements / preventative measures.
• Establish manufacturing inspection test processes, which ensure component dimensions meets the requirements of the drawings.
• To do arrangement for test equipment to calibration and to ensure calibration record maintain properly and up date.
• Liaise with other relevant department to resolve all quality related issues include customer complaints, internal quality issue and incoming raw material issue.
• Prepare samples, inspection report and First Article report as per customer requirement.
• Ensure In-process control system is in place and carried out effectively.
• Ensure effectiveness of ISO9001:2015 implementation.
• Establish, maintain and ensure consistent implementation of quality, environment and safety management system.
