Job summary

Ferrotec Manufacturing Malaysia SDN. BHD. is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to ensure products meet quality standards in metal fabrication. You will develop and maintain QC procedures, perform inspections, and drive root-cause investigations with production teams.

Responsibilities include using calipers, micrometers, and CMM for measurements, maintaining records, preparing management reports, and supporting ISO 9001 audits. Strong analytical skills and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of QC experience in metal fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes, materials, and standards.
• Proficient with inspection tools and equipment.
• Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards for metal fabrication processes.
• Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure quality specifications.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and CMM to measure product dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality issues.
• Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting deviations and corrective actions.
• Investigate quality issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with production teams to resolve quality-related problems and prevent recurrence.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and audits.
