Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Ipoh is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician to conduct quality testing of incoming and finished products, monitor shelf life, and support daily lab operations.

The role requires SPM or equivalent, a certificate/diploma in Science, at least 1 year in analytical testing/QC, and the ability to work night shifts and overtime. A simple Mathematics and color blindness test may be conducted during the interview.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent; certificate/diploma in Science or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year in analytical testing/QC or related field.
• Proficiency in Mathematics & Science (SPM results for both subject must be passed).
• Ability to work night shifts and overtime when necessary (2 / 3 shifts depend on the arrangment).
• Ok to do a simple Mathematics & color blindness test during interview session.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality testing (physical, dry fractionation, processed fats) for incoming, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Perform chemical dosing for water samples (boiler, softener, cooling tower) as directed.
• Monitor and report on shelf life, texture, and appearance of cooking oil/processed fats products.
• Support lab operations through effective teamwork and communication.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of lab equipment.
• Inspect incoming packaging materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Monitor packing plant performance to verify product quality and adherence to standards.
• Conduct finished goods inspections using random sampling.
• Update product approval status in ERP system daily.

Work Hour: Monday to Saturday 2 @ 3 shifts (7.00am - 3.00pm / 3.00pm - 11.00pm / 11.00pm - 7.00am / 7.00am - 7.00pm / 7.00pm - 7.00am)
