Job summary

Shang Height Realty Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site QA/QC Inspector in Malaysia to conduct regular on-site inspections, verifying workmanship against drawings and specifications while upholding company standards.

You will monitor units before handover, identify defects, prepare defect lists and reports, and coordinate with contractors and project teams to rectify issues within timelines, ensuring smooth handover readiness and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil/Construction field required.
• 1–3 years of experience in property development or site inspection.
• Experience with handover, defect management is a plus.
• Strong ability to read drawings and specs.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and basic reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship and drawings.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections independently to check workmanship and compliance with approved drawings, specifications and company standards.
• Monitor completed units before CPC, vacant possession, purchaser inspection or handover.
• Identify defects, incomplete works, poor workmanship and repeated quality issues.
• Prepare and update defect lists, inspection reports, daily reports and rectification progress records.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and site personnel to ensure defects are rectified within timeline.
• Verify completed rectification works before closing defect items and elevate long‑pending issues.
• Coordinate with Project Team, contractors, consultants and internal departments on QA/QC matters.
• Support unit handover readiness, purchaser inspection and defect liability follow‑up.
• Liaise professionally with purchasers or purchaser‑facing teams on defect status and repair progress.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in property development, construction site inspection, defect management or project coordination.
• Experience in residential or commercial property handover and defect management will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of construction quality standards, workmanship inspection and defect identification.
• Able to read construction drawings, specifications, method statements and site documentation.
• Good reporting, documentation, coordination and follow‑up skills.
• Able to communicate professionally with contractors, site team, purchasers and internal departments.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and sense of responsibility.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and basic reporting tools.
