Job summary

ASE Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang requires an in-process QA Inspector to perform inspections per SOP and control plans, ensuring product quality and defect detection. The role includes golden unit validation, non-conforming reporting, and regular maintenance of QA equipment.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Certificate in Quality/Engineering/Manufacturing/Electronics, with experience in semiconductor QA being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma/certificate in quality or related technical field.
• Candidates with relevant certification or equivalent manufacturing experience may be considered.
• Experience in semiconductor QA is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and product inspections according to SOP, Control Plan, and inspection specifications.
• Conduct acid testing and other required quality tests to verify product quality and defect detection capability.
• Perform golden unit validation to ensure inspection equipment and detection systems are functioning effectively.
• Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming products or process abnormalities.
• Perform routine verification and functional checks of QA inspection equipment.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) for QA equipment and ensure zero overdue activities.
• Escalate equipment abnormalities to the relevant QA Engineer or responsible department.
• Support QA Engineers in abnormality investigation, containment, and follow-up actions.
• Participate in robustness audits, process audits, and quality improvement activities.
• Ensure proper implementation of quality requirements at the production floor.
• Ensure quality records are complete, accurate, and traceable.
• Support QA improvement projects, CAPA, Kaizen, 5S, and other quality initiatives.
