Job summary

Private Advertiser in Penang is seeking a seasoned quality leader to drive in-process inspection, establish robust QMS, and ensure ISO/IATF compliance across sites.

You will establish and manage a trained quality team, define inspection criteria, and collaborate with internal departments to meet customer requirements.

The role requires 5–7 years in quality control/assurance, with 1–2 years in supervision; knowledge of 8D and DMAIC tools, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree/Master's in Material Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 5–7 years in quality control/quality assurance with 1–2 years in leadership.
• Certifications in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949.
• Deep understanding of quality tools, process improvements, and audit procedures.
• Strong oral and written communication across departments.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a team of trained quality personnel for In-process inspection.
• Establish quality criteria and method for inspection.
• Work closely with internal functional teams to achieve compliance of processes related to internal QMS and customer requirements.
• Drive internal teams to utilize 8D and DMAIC for quality improvement.
• Analyze data from In-process inspection and audits to plan improvements.
• Establish ISO9001, IATF 16949, ISO14001, ISO13485 at multiple sites and ensure implementation.
• Coordinate internal and external audits; report status during QMM and Management Review.
• Ensure compliance to RoHS, Reach and other regulations.

Job description

Manage in process quality and resolve with respective functional team to prevent interruption to operations.

To establish and ensure adherence to respective quality management systems such as ISO9001, IATF 16949, ISO13485, ISO14001 and Environmental compliances.

Key personnel at Operations meetings to drive improvement.

Provide leadership for quality improvement, and strategic and/or tactical directions to management to improve our quality management systems at monthly reviews or yearly management review.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and manage a team of trained quality personnel for In-process inspection.
• Establish quality criteria and method for inspection.
• Work closely with internal functional teams to achieve compliance of processes which related to internal QMS and customer requirements.
• To drive internal teams to utilize appropriate quality tools such as 8D, DMAIC for quality improvement.
• To analyses data from In-process inspection and audits and work closely with internal functional teams to plan for improvement.
• Establish required quality systems such as ISO9001, IATF 16949, ISO14001, ISO13485 etc., and ensure implementation and compliance at different sites.
• Coordinate for internal and external audits, and report status during QMM and Management Review to senior management.
• Manage compliance to RoHS, Reach and any other required requirements by customers and local or international regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree/Master's in Material Engneering, or other engineering discipline.
• 5 to 7 years of professional experience in quality control, quality assurance, or production/manufacturing, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Certifications in quality management standards (such as ISO 9001, ISO14001, IATF 16949)
• Deep understanding of quality control tools, process flow improvements, and audit procedures.
• Strong oral and written communication skills to report to upper management and work across departments.
• Self-driven, motivated and result oriented.
