Job summary

Woh Hup Group is seeking a QA/QC Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) for a data centre project in Johor, Malaysia. You will implement and monitor QA/QC activities for M&E works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.

You will work with the project team, M&E subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives to ensure quality throughout construction, testing, and commissioning phases.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of QA/QC experience in M&E construction works, preferably data centres or critical facilities.
• Experience with a main contractor is highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of M&E installation, inspection procedures, quality documentation, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality checklists for M&E works.
• Conduct inspections and monitor the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, and fire protection.
• Oversee electrical installation works, including LV/MV systems, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, busducts, and earthing.
• Ensure all M&E works comply with drawings, specs, and project quality standards; coordinate with consultants and clients.
• Coordinate inspections with WIR/MIR activities and manage NCRs and corrective actions.
