Job summary

Nexus EC Sdn Bhd, a consulting firm involved in Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental Geotechnics and Structural works in Malaysia, seeks an experienced Civil Engineer for QA/QC and site supervision. The candidate will ensure works by contractors meet quality standards and specifications, conduct inspections, and report non-conformities to the Resident Engineer, followed by corrective actions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and 2–3 years (IOW) plus 3–5 years QA/QC

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience as IOW
• 3-5 years of relevant QA/QC experience in construction or infrastructure projects
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Site supervision and coordination to ensure works meet quality standards and specifications

Responsibilities

• Perform site supervision and coordination to ensure contractor works meet quality standards
• Check, monitor, inspect and perform quality control checks
• Inspect work in progress and conduct final inspections on completed works
• Report non-conforming issues to the Resident Engineer and follow up with contractor actions

Job description

- Minimum 2-3 years experience as IOW - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering .

-Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in QA/QC, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.

- The person requires performing site supervision and coordination to ensure that the works carried out by the Contractors are within quality standards and correcting specification.

To check, monitor, inspect, perform quality control checks, and monitor work in progress and final inspection on completed works.

Reporting on non-conforming matters found during inspection to RE and follow up with Contractor on the action to be taken.
