Job summary

Brooks Automation in Malaysia (Johor) is seeking an Assistant Quality Assurance Manager to lead day-to-day quality operations on the production floor. You'll manage Quality Engineers and Inspectors, drive CAPA/NCR processes, and ensure adherence to QMS and ISO 9001 standards.

You will collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, monitor metrics, and sustain a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 5–8 years quality experience in manufacturing.
• Proven leadership of Quality Engineers and Inspectors.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, CAPA, NCR, 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Poka-Yoke.
• Experience with audits, QMS, MES, ERP systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or CQE is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quality Assurance Manager to lead day-to-day quality operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards, managing Quality Engineers and Inspectors, driving CAPA and nonconformance resolution, supporting audits, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily quality activities on the production floor.
• Manage and develop a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors.
• Drive CAPA, NCR, root cause analysis, and corrective action closure.
• Monitor quality performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with QMS, ISO 9001 requirements, SOPs, and control plans.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain audit readiness.
• Coordinate customer quality issues, including 8D investigations and responses.
• Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns and prevent recurrence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership experience managing Quality Engineers and Inspectors.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, CAPA, NCR, 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Poka-Yoke.
• Experience with quality audits, QMS, MES, and ERP systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Six Sigma Green Belt and/or CQE certification is an added advantage.
