Job summary

United Malayan Flour invites applications for a QC Laboratory Technician at our Penang plant. You will perform daily lab testing, follow standard methods, and promptly alert superiors when results fall outside specifications, supporting production teams to maintain quality.

The ideal candidate has SPM or equivalent, 0–2 years in QC is an advantage, basic computer literacy and math, and a willingness to work shifts.

Qualifications

• SPM/Professional certificate/Diploma in any field.
• 0–2 years of experience in QC is an added advantage.
• Basic computer literacy and basic mathematics.
• Willing to work shifts.
• Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily lab testing as per duty roster arranged by direct superior.
• Perform lab testing according to the standard method written in Lab Manual.
• Ensure the lab testing result is within the internal specification and inform when out of spec.
• Prepare the additives used for production as per Additive Request / Preparation Form.
• Weigh additives correctly before preparation and label bags.
• Update the additive stock card after preparation.
• Enter testing results into the online QC system at the end of the shift.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and tidiness.
• Perform other tasks as required by HOD.
