Ansell is looking for a QA Lab Technician to join our team in Ayer Keroh, Melaka!
As a QA Lab Technician, you are responsible for ensuring all relevant data, material analysis reports, and supporting documents are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner for review. Perform activities to ensure products, materials, and processes meet established specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements by follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and guidelines provided by the immediate supervisor and Head of Department. The Lab Technician also need to maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement initiatives to uphold product quality and compliance while required to work on a rotating 3-shift schedule to support continuous laboratory operations.
Responsibility:
- Perform daily laboratory activities, including testing, sampling, and evaluation of raw materials, in-process chemicals, semi-finished goods, and other substances in accordance with established specifications and test methods.
- Ensure material status is accurately identified and maintained throughout the process using the appropriate labels, stickers, and documentation in compliance with company procedures and specifications.
- Maintain laboratory equipment in good working condition and ensure all instruments are properly calibrated and cared for.
- Uphold a high standard of laboratory housekeeping to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Comply with all company Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) policies, procedures, and regulations to promote a safe workplace.
- Work on a rotating 3-shift schedule to support continuous laboratory operations and meet business requirements.
- Understand and support the Company's Quality Policy, quality objectives, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Recognize the impact of inaccurate work and ensure all tasks are performed with care and attention to quality standards.
- Comply with the Company's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene requirements, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and other workplace procedures.
- Adhere to all company policies, rules, regulations, code of conduct, and instructions issued by Management.
- Promptly report any unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, accidents, near misses, or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
- Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior or Management as required.
- Ensure laboratory and production equipment are properly calibrated, and machine settings and process parameters comply with approved standards. Support qualification activities for newly installed equipment in production and packaging areas.
- Report any non-compliance, deviations, or violations of quality system requirements and specifications to the Senior Laboratory Technician or Supervisor.
- Ensure all required data is accurately recorded, processed, maintained, and made available in the designated systems or locations.
- Monitor and ensure the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with company policies and environmental regulations.
- Understand and comply with Quality System Requirements (QSR), ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Support and participate in compliance with Corporate Core Standards and the Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Uphold the Company's Code of Ethics and maintain the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and compliance in all work activities.

What you will bring?
- Minimum qualification Diploma in Science or a related discipline, such as Chemistry, Applied Science, Laboratory Technology, Biotechnology, Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Science, or other equivalent scientific fields.
- Good working records, preferably in the quality assurance job functions.
- Mature and with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Provides innovative solutions to complex issues in specialized area.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
