Job summary

Oriental Fastech Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. (OFM) in Malaysia seeks an inspection-focused professional to cover IQC, IPQC, and OQC across electronic components, mechanical parts, and materials.

You will inspect from receipt to shipment and ensure products meet customer requirements and quality standards. Candidate should hold SPM/Certificate/Diploma in Electronics/Mechanical/Quality, read specifications, and report with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must hold SPM, Certificate or Diploma in Electronics, Mechanical, Quality or related field.
• Familiar with basic measurement tools and inspection reporting.
• Able to read component specifications, drawings and datasheets.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection for electronic components, mechanical parts and materials per specs and PO requirements.
• Conduct visual, dimensional, functional and cleanliness checks with basic measuring tools.
• Verify labeling, packaging, shelf life, humidity indicators and documentation (COA/COC, MSDS).
• Raise NCR for non-conforming materials and ensure proper segregation in quarantine area.
• Perform in-process inspections during production and assembly, checking joints, workmanship and process parameters.
• Use microscope, magnifier and basic test tools for defect verification.
• Monitor process quality and highlight deviations to Production and QA.
• Perform final inspection before shipment ensuring appearance, dimensions, functions, serial labels and packaging.
• Maintain and update inspection records, NCRs and traceability records.
• Assist in RCA and provide defect data for corrective actions.

Job description

This role encompasses incoming quality control (IQC), in-process quality control (IPQC), and outgoing quality control (OQC) responsibilities for electronic components, mechanical parts, and materials. You will perform inspections across the production lifecycle, from material receipt through final shipment, ensuring all products meet customer requirements and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection for electronic components, mechanical parts, and materials according to specifications, drawings, PO requirements, and AQL sampling
• Conduct visual, dimensional, functional, and cleanliness checks using basic measuring tools
• Verify labeling, packaging, shelf life, humidity indicators, and documentation (COA/COC, MSDS)
• Raise NCR for non-conforming materials and ensure proper segregation and labeling in quarantine area
• Perform in-process inspections during production and assembly processes, checking solder joints, components, workmanship, and process parameters
• Use microscope, magnifier, and basic test tools for defect verification
• Monitor process quality and highlight deviations or abnormalities to Production and QA
• Perform final inspection before shipment to ensure products meet customer requirements and verify product appearance, dimensions, functions, serial labels, and packaging
• Maintain and update inspection records, NCRs, and traceability records as required
• Assist in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and provide defect data for corrective actions

About you

• SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Electronics, Mechanical, Quality, or related field
• Familiar with basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauge, pin gauge)
• Able to read component specifications, engineering drawings, and datasheets
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for inspection reporting
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy
• Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience in material or quality inspection is an advantage
