Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Software Tester/QA professional to support testing across web, mobile, APIs and backend systems in Putrajaya. The role covers manual testing, test automation and defect management, with collaboration across development and project teams.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in QA, hands-on with Selenium/Playwright/Katalon, API testing tools, and knowledge of Agile/Scrum. Government-project experience is a plus; 12-month contract in Putrajaya.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
3–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Testing, Documentation or related role.
Experience testing web, mobile, RESTful APIs and backend systems.
Hands-on with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Katalon.
Experience using API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger.
Familiarity with defect tracking and project management tools like Jira, Notion.
Awareness of Agile/Scrum and SDLC/STLC best practices.
ISTQB Foundation Certification or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, execute and maintain manual test cases, scenarios and plans.
Perform functional, integration, regression, exploratory, usability, smoke and end-to-end testing across apps and APIs.
Identify, document and track defects with clear reproduction steps.
Support various testing levels (ST, SIT, UAT, FAT) and coordinate with stakeholders.
Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts.
Create, maintain and update test documentation, reports and SOPs.
Promote QA best practices and contribute to process improvement.
