Job summary

Dexcom is seeking a Quality Engineering professional to support QA activities, develop inspection methods, and implement fixtures and measurement programs. You will work closely with Quality and Operations to ensure compliance and drive improvements in our CGM products.

Qualifications

• Provide direct and ongoing support to quality assurance activities by evaluating inspection methods, driving process improvements, and qualifying inspection equipment.
• Collaborate with Quality and Operations Engineering to develop, implement, and optimize inspection methods and sampling plans.
• Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of inspection fixtures and measurement programs.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Quality Engineering and Operations Engineering to ensure timely communication of pipeline project deliverables such as lot history, material specs, fixture design, and Gage R&R studies.
• Develop test strategies and qualifications for processes, equipment, and inspection methods.
• Plan, manage, and prioritize projects; provide regular status updates to management.

Meet The Team

A quality assurance engineer assists in maintaining high-quality standards by supporting quality control processes, conducting inspections, and managing documentation, contributing to the overall quality and compliance of products or services within an organization.

Where You Come In

As a member of the Quality Engineering team, you will liaison closely with Quality Engineering and Operations Engineering to ensure open and timely communication of pipeline project deliverables including but not limited to lot history record, material specifications, fixture design and development, Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility Studies, inspection methods, and sampling plans.

What Makes You Successful

• Provide direct and ongoing support to quality assurance activities by evaluating inspection methods, driving process improvements, coordinating fixture design and development, and qualifying inspection equipment.
• Collaborate closely with Quality Engineers and Operations Engineers to develop, implement, and optimize inspection methods, sampling plans, and related procedures.
• Serve as the primary contributor to the design, development, and implementation of inspection fixtures and measurement programs for quality inspection activities.
• Participate in assigned Design Control and Phase Exit meetings, providing technical input and quality-related recommendations.
• Develop test strategies and execute process, equipment, and inspection method qualifications and validations.
• Conduct measurement system capability assessments, including Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) studies.
• Support the development of part measurement programs to semi-automate the inspection of parts, sub-assemblies, and packaging components, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and measurement consistency.
• Support the design and development of methodologies to evaluate and improve measurement accuracy and precision through testing, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support for the design, development, and fabrication of mechanical fixtures, tooling, and equipment used for component or product inspection.
• Plan, manage, and prioritize projects and tasks, monitor progress against established objectives, and provide regular status updates to management.
