Job summary

Pantech Steel Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to perform test and inspection on incoming materials and projects, and to liaise with third-party labs for compliance with customer specifications and standards.

You will assist in maintaining laboratory equipment, establishing internal procedures, and ensuring adherence to standards such as ASTM, ISO and API. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Material Science OR Metallurgy.
• Having an experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform test and inspection on incoming materials, projects and ad-hoc basis; review test and inspection reports and submit for approval.
• Liaise with 3rd party test labs or inspection companies for test requirements, customers’ specifications, raw material testing, final good testing etc.
• Communication with lab equipment suppliers for maintenance, repairs and consumable supplies.
• Establish and maintain procedures for internal test and inspection to ensure compliance to international standards, methods and practices i.e. ASTM, ISO, API and equivalent.
