Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment Malaysia invites a QA Manager to oversee QA services across PlayStation Studios titles. You will build strong relationships with development teams and internal stakeholders while ensuring QA delivery aligns with project requirements and SLAs.

You will lead resource planning, budget oversight and the growth of QA teams, driving continuous improvements across QA operations to deliver exceptional gaming experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a management role, demonstrating proven leadership capabilities, team management and people development.
• Strong understanding of QA testing methodologies, frameworks, processes and SDLC practices.
• Experience managing QA service delivery, including testing operations, project requirements and stakeholder expectations.
• Proven experience in resource planning, budget oversight and operational performance management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop teams, including performance management and staff development.
• Strong stakeholder relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with development teams, leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Experience identifying operational challenges, managing delivery risks and driving process improvements.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
• Experience working within the interactive media, gaming or video game development industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of high-quality QA testing services across assigned PlayStation Studios titles, ensuring alignment with project requirements, timelines and agreed service levels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with PlayStation Studios development teams and internal stakeholders, understanding their testing needs and priorities.
• Develop and execute service engagement strategies for assigned studios and partners, coordinating testing requirements and schedules.
• Collaborate with QA leadership and Production teams to develop resource plans and budgets, and allocate testing resources.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, resource utilization and service delivery processes.
• Lead, coach and mentor QA team members, supporting performance management and career development.
• Manage SLAs and OLAs, monitor service performance and address delivery risks or concerns.
• Facilitate regular studio engagement meetings, providing updates on testing progress, risks, budgets and schedules.
• Act as a key escalation point for studios throughout the SDLC, addressing testing challenges.
• Partner with QA leadership and cross-functional teams to improve QA methodologies and tools.
