Job summary

Focus Chemical Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to monitor stock levels, source alternate suppliers, and prepare cost analyses for negotiations. You will process purchase requisitions, issue orders, handle shipping, and liaise with warehouse staff to ensure timely delivery and accurate data management.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or Diploma in Business Administration or related field.
• Preferably 1-2 years of working experience in Manufacturing Purchasing.
• Basic knowledge of shipping, SST or operations is an added advantage.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic systems usage).
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin & Cantonese. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with China Suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.
• Sourcing alternate suppliers and submit request for quotation.
• Prepare cost analyses for next level of negotiation with suppliers.
• Processing purchase requisition and issuing purchase order.
• Handle shipping, track orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.
• Resolve dispute and claim with supplies on defective product.
• Ensure all purchasing and receiving data are duly updated with proper filling.
• Support ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior from time to time.
