Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a procurement officer in Malaysia with at least 2 years of experience in purchasing. The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and negotiation skills, plus basic MS Excel/Word/Outlook knowledge.

Attention to detail in data entry and record-keeping is essential. Responsibilities include processing requisitions, issuing POs, ensuring PO accuracy, tracking deliveries, supplier follow-ups, and supporting other departments with admin tasks.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess STPM or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in purchasing/procurement field.
• Good communication, proactive problem solving, follow-up and negotiation skills.
• Basic computer knowledge e.g Microsoft Excel, Words, Outlook.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Languages preferred in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Melayu; proficiency in Mandarin is preferred for client communication.

Responsibilities

• Proceed purchase requisitions.
• Issue purchase orders (PO) once approval is obtained.
• Ensure PO accuracy (item code, quantity, pricing, delivery date, address and terms).
• Manage delivery tracking, and coordinate with transporters and forwarding agents for timely arrivals.
• Follow up with suppliers for order confirmation.
• Handle general administrative and clerical tasks.
• Assist other departments with administrative support when required.
• Maintain accurate records of quotations, purchase orders, delivery orders and supplier invoices.
• File and archive all procurement documents for audit purposes.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
