Job description

As we embark on consolidating our group business operations, we require highly competent and experienced professionals with a proven track record in their respective area of expertise to take up the following positions at our plant in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for sourcing parts & supplies of new and existing products as well as price negotiation.
• Co-ordinate & execute purchasing activities & supplier deliveries to meet production requirements.
• Involve in material planning & working to minimize the total cost of purchasing & inventory.
• Ensure consistency of supply, on time delivery, purchase price variance of supplies.
• Address & resolve situation such as shortage allocation, discrepant material, and alternate source of supply.
• Involve in cost reduction project.
• Continue to explore new source of supply in the market either in overseas and local.
• Monitor and access supplier’s delivery performance.
• To perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Higher Secondary / STPM / Certificate / Diploma in Business Studies / Administration / Logistics / Warehouse Management or equivalent.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English. Chinese is preferred.
• Good Initiative. Highly motivated & resourceful. Aggressive with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good negotiation, communication, interpersonal and possess high degree of integrity.
• Preferably Senior or Junior Executives specializing in Purchasing/Material Planning/Inventory Operations or equivalent.
• Able to work independently and proactively.
