Job summary

ibis Styles Johor Iskandar Puteri is seeking a cost control/finance professional to support the hotel's purchasing and cost management. You will review purchase requisitions, negotiate with suppliers, place orders, and monitor deliveries and payments to ensure budget adherence. Strong cost awareness is essential.

The role requires at least 3 years in cost control or procurement within hospitality, and basic English and Bahasa Malaysia communication skills. HACCP awareness is a plus.

Qualifications

• Possess at least professional certificates, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate/Diploma in Finance/Accountancy.
• Basic required communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
• Specialized in receiving and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions considering lead times, standardization, quantity discounts and purchasing budgets.
• Visit and evaluate suppliers, request quotations or bids, negotiate prices and terms, place orders, resolve problems, follow up on deliveries and payments with hotel suppliers.
• Conduct audit of receiving and storage areas to ensure HACCP standards are adhered to.
• Report daily and monthly room and F&B costs with detailed analysis on variances such as cost ratios, slow moving items, breakages and loss.
• Monitor all goods movements (food & beverage, stationary, operating equipment) and ensure proper recording.

Job Description

• To review purchase requisitions considering issues such as lead times, standardization, quantity discounts and purchasing budgets.
• To visit and evaluate suppliers, to request quotation or bids, to negotiate prices and terms, to place order, to resolve problems, to follow-up any outstanding delivery and activate any payment with Hotel current supplier and potential supplier.
• Conduct audit of receiving and storage areas from time to time to ensure that Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), standard are adhered to.
• To report the daily and monthly rooms and F&B cost with emphasis and detailed analysis on exceptional variances such as trend of cost rations, slow moving items, breakages and loss.
• To monitor all good movements, including food and beverage, stationary other operating equipment in and out of the hotel and ensure that they are properly recorded.
