Job summary

Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur is seeking energetic, multi-skilled individuals to join our housekeeping team. Based in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the hotel offers a dynamic environment where attention to detail and guest satisfaction are paramount.

You will clean public areas, restrooms and function spaces, replenish supplies, respond promptly to guest requests, and collaborate with the Housekeeping team to uphold hygiene and safety standards. Shifts, weekends and public holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or public area cleaning experience in a hotel environment preferred.
• Good understanding of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
• Positive attitude with strong customer service skills.
• Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Honest, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all assigned public areas, restrooms, function rooms, and back-of-house areas are clean and well maintained.
• Replenish supplies and maintain cleanliness of pantries and storage areas.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment and ensure proper usage at all times.
• Ensure all public areas meet hotel hygiene, safety, and presentation standards.
• Coordinate effectively with Housekeeping team leaders and other departments.
• Support environmental and sustainability initiatives through proper waste management and energy conservation.
