Job summary

Pertubuhan Peduli Insan Malaysia is seeking a Public Relations Executive to support communication and media relations activities, strengthening the organization’s public image and stakeholder engagement.

The role involves drafting press releases, coordinating media appearances, and supporting campaigns and events to reflect the humanitarian mission. Strong English writing skills are essential; Arabic is an added advantage. Fresh graduates with strong internships are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in PR/communications.
• 1–2 years in PR/communications or internships.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.

The Public Relations Executive supports Peduli Insan’s communication and media relations activites to strengthen the organization’s public image, credibility, and stakeholder engagement. The role contributes to the development and dissemination of key messages, media materials, and public communications, ensuring consistent and impactful representation of the organization’s humanitarian mission.

What you'll be doing

• Support media appearances, interviews, and public engagements involving organizational representatives and spokespersons
• Assist in building and maintaining relationships with media outlets, journalists, and digital influencers
• Draft press releases, media statements, speeches, and other official communication materials
• Plan and support PR campaigns, events, and media outreach activities that align with the organization’s goals
• Contribute to the development of human-interest stories and digital content for websites and social media platforms
• Assist in planning and executing PR campaigns, media outreach initiatives, and public events.
• Coordinate logistics and communication support for media and stakeholder engagements
• Monitor media coverage and public sentiment related to the organization and its initiatives
• Prepare media monitoring reports and communication insights
• Maintain media contact databases and PR documentation
• Provide administrative and operational support for PR-related activities

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Communications, or a related discipline
• 1–2 years of experience in public relations, communications, media, or related fields (fresh graduates with strong internships may be considered)
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an added advantage
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• High attention to detail and organizational ability
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in dynamic environments
• Possession of own transportation and willingness to travel for events or media-related assignments
