Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Mass Communications, Marketing or related field.
• 7+ years of corporate communications, media relations or brand management experience, preferably in professional services.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin (reading, writing, translating).
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with urgency and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Strong digital and social media awareness in Malaysia’s market.

Responsibilities

• Drive external and internal communications: press releases, thought leadership, executive announcements.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets, focusing on Chinese-speaking media.
• Partner with professional bodies and international networks for global branding initiatives.
• Create bilingual content and manage end-to-end digital strategy including video content.
• Coordinate experiential marketing and high-profile corporate events, and support client experience and premium gifting.
• Assist in budgeting and post-campaign evaluations for data-driven improvement.

Bilingual Content & Digital Strategy

• Engage Audiences: Spearhead end-to-end content creation (including dynamic video content) tailored for diverse social platforms, maximizing engagement with our Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
  
• Cross-Cultural Messaging: Ensure seamless, culturally nuanced translation and transcreation of all social media content and brand announcements across English and Mandarin.
  

Brand Operations & Client Experience

Requirements

• Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Mass Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  
• Proven Track Record: 7+ years of impactful experience in corporate communications, media relations, or brand management. Experience within a fast-paced professional services environment (accounting, legal, finance) is highly regarded.
  
• Bilingual Mastery: Exceptional fluency in both English and Mandarin. You possess the advanced ability to read, write, creatively translate, and negotiate in both languages.
