Public Relation & Communication Internship

TAPiO Management Advisory is a multidisciplinary advisory firm based in Kuala Lumpur that specializes in assisting its clients to settle or expand in the ASEAN region by utilizing Malaysia as a gateway, notably in the industry 4.0. TAPiO acts as the country manager for Bavaria and Belgium and serves as an economic advisor to the East Coast Economic Region Development Council and the Flanders Investment and Trade Malaysia Agency. The firm maintains relationships at the highest level between Malaysia and Europe, ranging from government officials to private sector CEOs, and provides custom market research and feasibility studies for the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey on demand. TAPiO’s role is to give clients accurate intelligence about Malaysia and its key industry sectors, enabling informed decisions and negotiating favorable investment conditions for their expansion and growth.

Responsibilities

• Monitor news releases from specified corporations and government agencies.
• Write and distribute press releases for newsworthy events from the company.
• Assist the team in developing and implementing PR strategies.
• Plan, produce, write, and curate engaging content in formats such as blog, video, article, e‑book, report, and infographic.
• Assist in market research by writing summaries, conducting interviews, or focus group assessments.
• Research and curate compelling marketing content and communication deliverables.
• Write social media descriptions for posts and proofread content before release.
• Monitor social media web analytics on a weekly basis (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and provide reports of growth and other activity.
• Attend corporate networking events and meet with Directors, Managers, Business Executives, Government officials, NGOs, and Diplomats.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess or be currently pursuing a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Professional Communication, Mass Communication, Multimedia, Administration, Management, or an equivalent field.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Must have a laptop for conducting tasks during the internship.
• Must be able to wear formal attire for corporate, government, or diplomatic events.

Internship Details

• Full‑time, unpaid internship available for a minimum duration of 3 to 6 months.
• Students will receive a small reward upon successful completion of the internship.
• The host company will not bear any cost of the students during or after the internship tenure such as food, visa, or other personal expenses while they are in Malaysia.
