Job summary

UEM Edgenta Bhd in Kedah seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead facility operation for hospital services at Hospital Jitra. You will plan and manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, and sustainability initiatives in line with Concession Agreement and SOP.

Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure FEMS Mechanical operation activities and Sustainability Programme are executed per Concession Agreement and SOP.
• Monitor daily operation including Complaints Work Request, Scheduled Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, Routine Inspection and related tasks, aiming to minimize maintenance cost and monthly deductions.
• Identify and provide reports (Technical Report, Technical Professional Advice, Condition Appraisal, Monthly deduction mapping report, Incident report, Life Cycle Assessment, Benchmarking) for MoH per contract.
• Represent company management in internal and external meetings to meet hospital requirements with authorities.
• Ensure activities comply with Quality, Safety, Health and environment activities (Quality Assurance, Risk Management, Hazard Alert) and LEAN initiatives.
• Control FEMS mechanical services to meet ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001) and regulatory requirements.
• Sustain stakeholder management with internal and external parties to align with company vision and mission.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and ensure FEMS Mechanical operation activities (Plan Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, Breakdown Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Routine Inspection, Proactive Maintenance and User Request) and Sustainability Programme (Indoor Air Quality and Energy Management) are executed according to the Concession Agreement requirements and Company Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
• Monitor daily operation in term of Complaints Work Request, Scheduled Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, Routine Inspection and others as well as minimizing maintenance cost reduction and monthly fee deductions.
• Identify and provide reports (Technical Report, Technical Professional Advice, Condition Appraisal, Monthly deduction mapping report, Incident report, Life Cycle Assessment, Benchmarking and related Mechanical drawings) are prepared, reviewed and submitted to MoH (Hardcopy and Assets & Services Information System) as per Concession Agreement.
• Represent company management in various Internal Meeting (Validation Committee Meeting, Privatise Committee Meeting, Mesyuarat Pembangunan, Operation Theatre Committee Meeting, ILKKM Committee Meeting and Quarters Committee Meeting) and External Meeting (Local Authorities, DOSH, JKN, BOMBA and TNB) as to meet hospital’s requirement.
• Ensure all activities comply with Quality, Safety, Health and environment activities (Quality Assurance Program, Risk Management, Hazard Alert and Recall, Handling Hazardous Equipment) as per contract agreement. Support company programmes and activities such as related to HSSE and LEAN e.g. tool box session at agreed frequency set by management.
• Control FEMS mechanical services meet the compliance of Quality and Environment Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001) and Statutory & Regulatory (DOSH, DOE, Energy Commission, Suruhanjaya Tenaga and local authority) in line with ISO standard and legal regulations.
• Sustain stake holder management for Internal (Head Quarters, Regional Office and Hospital Support Services) and External (Engineering Division Department, Ministry of Health and Local Authorities) parties in order to align with company vision and mission.
