Project Manager - Data Warehouse Migration (MS SQL to OCI)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead an enterprise Data Warehouse migration project from Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end delivery, including planning, stakeholder management, technical coordination, migration execution, testing, cutover, and post-migration stabilization.

Key responsibilities

Own the end-to-end project plan, scope, schedule, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables

Define migration strategy, phases, workstreams, and implementation roadmap

Establish project governance, PMO processes, status reporting, and steering committee cadence

Track project progress against agreed timelines, budget, scope, and quality objectives

Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests

Lead migration of the existing MSSQL-based Data Warehouse environment to OCI

Coordinate assessment and discovery of databases, schemas, tables, stored procedures, ETL jobs, reports, interfaces, and downstream dependencies

Work with architects and technical teams to define the target OCI architecture and migration approach

Coordinate activities across database, cloud, ETL, infrastructure, security, network, DevOps, and application teams

Act as the primary point of contact for business and technical stakeholders

About you

10-15+ years of overall IT experience, with significant experience in project/program management

Proven experience managing Data Warehouse or Database Migration projects

Experience managing cloud migration projects, preferably OCI

Experience with MSSQL-to-Oracle or MSSQL-to-cloud migrations is highly desirable

Strong understanding of data warehouse architecture and ETL/ELT processes

Experience managing large cross-functional technical teams

Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery

Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills

Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Experience with project planning and tracking tools such as Jira, MS Project, Confluence, or equivalent
