Job summary

TGS is hiring Imaging Geophysicists for our Kuala Lumpur Imaging Center. The role focuses on delivering seismic imaging projects through processing, QC, and production workflows, with client and internal team collaboration to ensure accuracy and success.

Successful candidates will engage in data preparation, parameter testing, and progression through project stages, with opportunities to lead tasks or mentor colleagues depending on experience. This full-time position is based in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• Higher university degree in geophysics or similar discipline.
• Experience in seismic data processing or geophysical workflows.
• Familiarity with seismic processing and imaging software tools is an advantage.
• Previous client-facing or project coordination experience is a plus.

To our Imaging business, we are now seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Imaging Geophysicists to join our Imaging Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The successful candidates will play a key role in the delivery of seismic imaging projects. As part of our team, you will contribute to data processing, velocity analysis, quality control, and production workflows, while collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to ensure technical accuracy and project success.

You will be involved in performing parameter testing, preparing production data, engaging in quality reviews, and supporting project planning and delivery. Depending on your experience level, you may also lead technical tasks, mentor colleagues, or manage project stages. This is an exciting opportunity to develop or deepen your technical skills while contributing to meaningful projects that support energy exploration and development globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Process seismic data using advanced imaging workflows and tools.
• Conduct quality control checks and support delivery of production-ready results.
