Job summary

Elsa Talent seeks a seasoned Finance Lead to manage project lifecycle finances, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. You will monitor expenditures, validate invoices, and prepare monthly and quarterly reports to drive financial performance.

The role requires 5+ years in finance within project-based industries, strong ERP and Excel skills, and excellent English communication. You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure audit-ready records

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance, preferably within Oil & Gas, energy, engineering, or project-based industries.
Minimum 3 years of experience in project finance, cost control, financial reporting, or similar roles.
Strong knowledge of financial systems, ERP platforms, accounting principles, and project cost management practices.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, invoice verification, financial analysis, and cost monitoring.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); good command of English.

Responsibilities

Manage and support finance-related activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring effective financial planning, monitoring, and reporting.
Perform project financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to support objectives and performance.
Monitor expenditures, analyze cost performance, and prepare financial reports including budget tracking and variance analysis.
Process and verify financial transactions (invoices, payments, accruals, journals, reconciliations) per policies.
Review and validate vendor/contractor invoices for accuracy and compliance.
Support cash flow management, including payment planning and forecasting.
Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, project-based) for financial status insights.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit readiness.
Support audits by preparing docs and responding to queries.
Ensure adherence to policies, standards, statutory/regulatory requirements.
Provide financial analysis to facilitate informed decisions and cost optimization.
Monitor financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Support close-out activities with final cost reconciliation and reporting.
Maintain data entry and reporting in financial systems/ERP.
Collaborate with teams, vendors, and stakeholders for smooth operations.
