Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an engineer to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOM, work on BOM based on customer BOM, and develop strong product knowledge to propose the best solution to customers. The role requires a good understanding of wire harness assembly, initiating new BOM in the system upon order, and the ability to work under short lead times to meet customer demand dates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, preferably in mechanical or Electrical & Electronics engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 to 5 years' of relevant working experience in manufacturing environment.
• Candidates with experiences in cable and connector industry will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of molding process is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of engineering process control and improvement activities.
• Good verbal and written communication in English.
• Good in the skill of data analysis and statistical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret Engineering drawings & BOM
• Work on Engineering BOM based on customer’s BOM
• Develop strong product knowledge and propose best solution to customer
• Good understanding of wire harness assembly
• Initiate new BOM creation in system once order received from customer
• Able to work under short lead time to meet customer demand date
