Subsea7 is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Pipeline Group (PG) in Kuala Lumpur on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be part of a team of installation engineers working on pipeline installation methods such as S&J Lay and reel lay, supporting offshore execution and delivering regular operational reports.

The role involves offshore trips and travel. We welcome candidates with an engineering degree and subsea project experience, strong communication and report-writing skills, and

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Engineering/Marine/Naval/Offshore Technology / Civil / Mechanical or equivalent.
  • Experience as a project engineer, ideally in a subsea engineering field.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
  • Good report-writing skills with the ability to self-check and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to undertake offshore trips and occasional overseas travel.

Responsibilities

  • Follow your project scope from early engagement with clients through offshore execution on reel lay assets.
  • Produce installation method statements and procedures, support procurement activities and subcontract follow-up, deliver technical presentations.
  • Installation rigging calculations and rigging design.
  • Assist Tendering with feasibility studies, method statements, manhour estimates, schedules and costing support.
  • Support installation aid procurement, fabrication and testing follow-up.
  • Follow your scope offshore on our installation vessels.

What will you be doing?

Subsea7 have an opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Pipeline Group (PG) team at our Kuala Lumpur office on a full-time, permanent basis.

Subsea7 have an opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Pipeline Group (PG) team at our Kuala Lumpur office on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will be part of a team of installation engineers, dealing with different pipeline installation methods (S&J Lay, reel lay) for a package of work on either a project or tender. You will support the efficient day-to-day running of the installation engineering team and provide regular operational reports on general project engineering activities, technical subject matters, and resource management.

Main Responsibilities
  • Follow your project scope from early engagement with our internal and external clients through to offshore execution on board our reel lay assets.
  • Produce installation method statements and procedures, support procurement activities and subcontract follow up, proactively support HSEQ activities and prepare and deliver technical presentations.
  • Installation rigging calculations and rigging design.
  • Assist Tendering department with feasibility studies, method statements, manhour estimates, schedule inputs and costing support.
  • Supporting installation aid procurement, fabrication and testing follow up.
  • Follow your scope offshore on our installation vessels.

  • Degree qualified in Engineering/Marine/Naval/Offshore Technology / Civil / Mechanical or equivalent

  • Good communication skills, able to speak with all levels within the business, who is comfortable working on their own and as part of a team
  • Good report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work, as well as the ability prioritise and organise your work accordingly to meet deadlines set by management
  • This role will involve spells of offshore trips and occasional overseas travel so candidates should be able to show a willingness and flexibility to accommodate.
