Job summary

CEEC APCC (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking an electrical/site execution professional for Plant Substation projects in Sungai Lembing.

You will oversee the 33/275kV substation scope, including major transformers, AIS/GIS switchgear, and auxiliary equipment, ensuring timely delivery and safety at the site. You will also manage interconnection routing, LILO work, and POI interfaces, while coordinating SCMS installation, protection relays, and cybersecurity architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead physical site execution for the 33/275kV Plant Substation (PSS), including Main Power Transformer, 275kV AIS/GIS, 33kV GIS switchboards and auxiliary transformers.
• Manage 275kV transmission line routing, Loop-In Loop-Out (LILO) grid connection works, and POI interfaces up to the utility gantry.
• Oversee installation and testing of Substation Control & Monitoring Systems (SCMS), cybersecurity architecture, PQM panels and protection relay panels.
• Verify earthing grid installation using CYMGRD/CDEGS software calculations (IEEE 80 compliance; touch/step potential).
• Liaise with grid authorities (TNB & ST) for approvals, IOM compliance, and Grid Code verification.
• Coordinate HV testing, protection relay coordination, and energization leading to IOD and COD.

Job description

Plant Substation (PSS) Scope Execution: Leads physical site execution for the 33/275kV Plant Substation (PSS), including the Main Power Transformer, 275kV Outdoor Air-Insulated Switchgear (AIS) / Indoor Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS), 33kV GIS switchboards, and auxiliary transformers.

Interconnection Facilities (IF) & Overhead Lines (OHL): Manages the 275kV transmission line routing, Loop-In Loop-Out (LILO) grid connection works, and Point of Interconnection (POI) interfaces up to the utility gantry.

Substation SCMS & Protection Control: Oversees the installation and testing of Substation Control & Monitoring Systems (SCMS), cybersecurity architecture, Power Quality Monitoring (PQM) panels, and protection relay panels.

Earthing Grid Verification: Verifies main substation earthing grid installation using CYMGRD/CDEGS software calculations (IEEE 80 compliance for touch/step potential and total grid resistance below 0.5 ohms).

Utility & Grid Authority Liaison: Serves as the technical interface with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) for grid connection approvals, Interconnection Operation Manual (IOM) compliance, and Grid Code verification.

Energization & Testing Support: Manages High Voltage (HV) testing, protection relay coordination testing, and system energization leading to the Initial Operation Date (IOD) and Commercial Operation Date (COD).
