Job summary

Pekat E&LP Sdn Bhd invites applications for a Project Engineer (Electrical Background) to lead and organize electrical engineering projects in Malaysia. You will manage construction activities, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery within budget while coordinating supervisors and site teams.

Key requirements include a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, 3–5 years of related experience, and knowledge of CAD software.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of working experience in related field.
• Equivalent experience & knowledge in Photovoltaic industry are preferred.

• Managing and planning the construction project and check progress and activities in order.

Project Engineer (Electrical Background)

Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling all project elements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Managing and planning the construction project and check progress and activities in order.

Managing the supervisors and to resolve site construction problems and making decision.

Plan and strategize on the manpower resources.

Ensure that all site progress and interim collection are as per scheduled.

Controlling the cost of the materials and labour.

Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes, to ensure BOQ and material usage falls within the allocated budget.

Ensuring that projects are delivered on time.

To produce basic ELP layout as needed.

Requirement:

Experience in E&LP Industry will be an advantage.

Hardworking, versatile, discipline, self‑motivated, good interpersonal and communication skills, fast learner, mature and responsible.

Analytical, able to work independently and handle multi-tasking.

Able to and is willing to work outstation.

Possess good communication skills.

Qualifications:

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 3 – 5 years of working experience in related field

Equivalent experience & knowledge in Photovoltaic industry are preferred.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant CAD software.
