Job summary

Pekat is seeking a Project Engineer (Electrical Background) to organize and control project elements, manage construction activities, and ensure on-time delivery on site in Johor Bahru.

The role involves supervising workforce, resolving site issues, planning manpower, cost control, reviewing plans, and producing basic ELP layouts as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience in Photovoltaic industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Office and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Managing and planning the construction project and checking progress.
• Supervisors coordination and resolving site construction problems.
• Planning manpower resources and ensuring timely delivery.
• Controlling costs of materials and labour.
• Reviewing design, specifications and schedules to keep within budget.
• Producing basic ELP layouts as needed.
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time.

Project Engineer (Electrical Background)

Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling all project elements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Managing and planning the construction project and check progress and activities in order.

Managing the supervisors and to resolve site construction problems and making decision.

Plan and strategize on the manpower resources.

Ensure that all site progress and interim collection are as per scheduled.

Controlling the cost of the materials and labour.

Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes, to ensure BOQ and material usage falls within the allocated budget.

Ensuring that projects are delivered on time.

To produce basic ELP layout as needed.

Requirement:

Experience in E&LP Industry will be an advantage.

Hardworking, versatile, discipline, self-motivated, good interpersonal and communication skills, fast learner, mature and responsible.

Analytical, able to work independently and handle multi-tasking.

Able to and is willing to work outstation.

Possess good communication skills.

Qualifications:

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 3 – 5 years of working experience in related field

Equivalent experience & knowledge in Photovoltaic industry are preferred.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant CAD software.
