Job summary

Chin Hin Construction Engineering Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to design and manage electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and data centre projects.

You will ensure compliance with codes, prepare specifications and drawings, and support construction and commissioning. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, review design deliverables, and coordinate with engineers, architects, and contractors to deliver on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Engineer (Electrical) with understanding of electrical systems, design principles and industry standards.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software
• Knowledge of electrical codes, standards and regulations.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience with large-scale projects including electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and Data Centre sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage electrical system designs, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
• Oversee the electrical design, installation, and integration for various projects, including the preparation of specifications and drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other disciplines.
• Perform project planning, budgeting, and scheduling, and track progress to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure that electrical systems are correctly implemented in accordance with the project specifications and provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure electrical systems are installed as per designs, specifications, and safety standards.
• Resolve any technical issues that arise during project execution, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with other project engineers, stakeholders, and contractors to manage project resources and schedules.
• Ensure all documentation, including reports, specifications, and project files, are accurately maintained and updated
• Review and approve electrical design drawings, specifications, and project deliverables.
• Lead project meetings to track project status and discuss any issues or risks.
