Job summary

DC Bina Sdn Bhd is seeking a Civil Engineer to plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of civil engineering projects in Malaysia. You will review drawings, monitor schedules and budgets, and coordinate with clients and authorities to ensure compliance and timely delivery.

The role involves supervising construction activities, resolving technical issues, preparing schedules and reports, and supporting risk assessment and procurement activities on site.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of civil engineering projects.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure project requirements are understood and implemented.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely project delivery.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues during project execution.
• Prepare project schedules, progress reports, technical reports, and project documentation.
• Monitor project costs and assist in budget control and cost management.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
• Review and certify work completed by contractors for progress claims and payments.
• Manage procurement of construction materials and ensure timely delivery to site.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and applicable regulations.
• Support project planning, risk assessment, and mitigation activities.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical recommendations to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project records, including correspondence, reports, inspections, and change orders.
• Assist with project close-out activities, including final inspections, handover documentation, and defect rectification.
