Job summary

Siddhi Jaya Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager. You will help oversee major construction activities, coordinate resources, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

You will liaise with architects, authorities, clients, and subcontractors, review plans, and ensure compliance with drawings, codes, and specifications while contributing to budget awareness and procurement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with architects, designers, authorities, clients, subcontractors and field personnel.
• Generate RFIs and submittals.
• Assist with bid analysis, constructability reviews, and permit processing.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Provide technical information to project supervisor to meet codes and drawings.
• Support project budget awareness and procurement activities.
• Monitor quality control metrics and DPRs; raise issues to PM/Supt as necessary.
• Plan construction meetings with stakeholders.
• Create punch lists and closeout reports.

The role of a Project Engineer is to support the Project Manager and be responsible for the oversight

of most major aspects of construction work, including organizing the acquisition of materials,

equipment, and workers, planning for costs, and supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent

• Coordinate with architects, designers, local authorities, clients, sub-

contractors and field personnel.

• Responsible for generating Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals.
• May be responsible for bid analysis, constructability reviews, and permit

processing.

• Inspect all work to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Offer technical information to project supervisor to ensure work complies

with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.

• Have a general understanding of project budget and assist with procurement

activities.

• Monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular

basis, provide timely and accurate Daily Production Reports (DPR), and

raise issues to PM or Superintendent as necessary.

• Plan and organize construction meeting with related project stakeholders.
• Generate project punch list and closeout report.
