Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and oversee major construction activities, including coordinating materials, equipment and workers, and planning cost implications.

You will coordinate with architects, authorities, clients and subcontractors, generate RFIs and submittals, monitor quality, assist procurement, prepare Daily Production Reports, plan construction meetings and compile the closeout report.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating with architects, authorities, clients and subcontractors.
• Experience generating RFIs and submittals.
• Familiarity with project budgets and procurement.
• Ability to monitor quality control and prepare reports.
• Experience planning meetings and closeout documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with architects, designers, local authorities, clients, sub-contractors and field personnel.
• Responsible for generating RFIs and submittals.
• May be responsible for bid analysis, constructability reviews, and permit processing.
• Inspect all work to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Provide technical information to ensure work complies with codes and drawings.
• Support project supervisor with budget understanding and procurement activities.
• Monitor and report DPRs and raise issues to PM or Superintendent.
• Plan and organize construction meetings with stakeholders.
• Generate project punch lists and closeout reports.

The role of a Project Engineer is to support the Project Manager and be responsible for the oversight

of most major aspects of construction work, including organizing the acquisition of materials,

equipment, and workers, planning for costs, and supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent

PROJECT ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate with architects, designers, local authorities, clients, sub-contractors and field personnel.
• Responsible for generating Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals.
• May be responsible for bid analysis, constructability reviews, and permit processing.
• Inspect all work to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Offer technical information to project supervisor to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
• Have a general understanding of project budget and assist with procurement activities.
• Monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis, provide timely and accurate Daily Production Reports (DPR), and raise issues to PM or Superintendent as necessary.
• Plan and organize construction meeting with related project stakeholders.
• Generate project punch list and closeout report.
