Job summary

Binasat Communication Berhad is looking for a drafting technician to amend and update As-Built and layout drawings based on site information for fiber optic projects.

You will perform basic AutoCAD drafting, prepare submission documentation, and maintain project records in the Maxis NCR system. Strong coordination with site teams and accuracy in documentation are essential to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in fiber optic construction or telecommunications projects.
• Basic to intermediate AutoCAD knowledge to amend and update drawings.
• Familiar with Maxis NCR system and related project documentation processes.
• Good computer skills, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with project and site teams.
• Detail-oriented and organized, able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Amend and update As-Built Drawings, layout drawings and other project drawings based on site information and project requirements.
• Perform basic drafting and drawing amendments using AutoCAD.
• Prepare and maintain documentation required for project submissions, approvals, testing, completion and handover.
• Update and maintain project records in the Maxis NCR system.
• Assist in preparing and tracking NCR-related documentation and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with site teams, supervisors, engineers and project personnel to obtain accurate site information and drawing updates.
• Ensure drawings and documentation are properly controlled, filed and updated according to the latest revision.
• Monitor document status and follow up with relevant personnel to ensure timely submission.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, photographs and other supporting documents.
• Perform other duties related to project administration and documentation as assigned by management.
