Job summary

MYDIGITAL CENTER SDN BHD is seeking a programmer to define, develop, test, analyze and maintain software applications, web and mobile, in a fast-paced team. You will design, implement and optimize code, ensure security, and collaborate across departments.

Fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of experience are welcome. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu, plus knowledge of MVC, CI/Spring, and cloud services (AWS/Azure) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates or individuals with minimum 1–2 years of experience.
• Professional certifications such as PHP, Python, Java, C# or related are preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Moderate understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS and Microsoft Azure is a plus.

Job description

Programmer role is to define, develop, test, analyze and maintain new or existing software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing and analyzing software programs and applications. Programmer also do research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production cycle.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze project requirements.

Design, develop, test, and maintain web and mobile applications.

Build reusable code and libraries for future use.

Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.

Implement security and data protection following industry best practices.

Apply MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture principles in software development projects.

Design and develop front-end components (presentation, templating, client-side behavior, integration to data services) and back-end components (database design, server-side logic, APIs, and RESTful services).

Develop and integrate mobile applications with backend services and APIs.

Learn and apply new technologies to projects where applicable.

Adopt and drive Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Agile Software Development, W3C standards, accessibility, and usability best practices.

Troubleshoot, test, and maintain software applications and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality.

Provide time and resource estimates to assist in project planning.

Perform unit testing, functional testing, integration testing, and application testing to ensure technical and functional compatibility with requirements.

Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation and specifications.

Perform debugging tasks and support Functional Engineers and System Support teams in resolving system issues.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Assistant Technical Lead (ATL), Head of Department (HOD) or management.

Professional certifications such as PHP, Python, Java, C# and other related are preferred.

Having programming concept in data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.

Experience with cloud services such AWS, Microsoft Azure and others is a plus.

Experience in using web-based frameworks such as CodeIgniter, Spring, and others is a plus.

Moderate understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills is a must.
