Job summary

Lam Research in Penang is seeking a System Project Manager to drive best-in-class execution, coordinate cross-functional order fulfillment, and manage risks for on-time, high-quality delivery.

You will oversee change management for BOM planning, push continuous improvements, and collaborate across GOPs, GCO and production teams to meet customer needs with speed and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 6+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of related experience in project management or program management
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
• Analytical skills to interpret and utilize data for decision support.

The impact you’ll make

The System Project Manager drives best-in-class execution, on-time to plan and high-quality, efficiency and scalability. This role ensures seamless coordination across functions, proactively manages risks, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Executes customer orders on-time to plan (OTTP) by managing to plan milestones, risk management and driving effective escalations and action plans
• Commits MCSD on behalf of GOPs while taking calculated risks to meet customer need
• Leads cross-functional coordination of order execution across GOPs, GCO and PG
• Enables market share penetration and defense, and customer satisfaction through speed, responsiveness and innovation
• Oversees change management process for ILT BOM and planning changes, provides options to execute and drives actions in support of decisions
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and drives continuous improvement through role modeling structured problem solving (8D Reports, PSDMP)
• Ensures completeness of shipment by managing shipping deviations to meet customer installation timeline

Minimum Qualifications

• Cross-functional Leadership: Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to achieve organizational goals
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities are essential for collaboration and stakeholder engagement
• Problem-solving & Critical Thinking: Proven ability to identify and resolve complex issues effectively
• Project Management: Prior experience in project management is a plus
• Sales Management: Prior experience in sales management is advantageous
• MRP experience: Experience and proficiency in MRP systems; SAP knowledge is preferred
• Semiconductor Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with semiconductor fab process equipment and BOM configuration is highly beneficial
• Dynamic Work Environment: Ability to thrive in fast-paced and dynamic business environments and possess a proven ability to handle ambiguity and adapt effectively to change
• Business Acumen: A strong sense of urgency and priority management to drive impactful decisions
• Demonstrated leadership potential with the ability to influence stakeholders, drive initiatives, and lead through collaboration in a cross-functional environment.
• Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or PRINCE2.
