Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Ipoh, Malaysia is seeking a Program Manager to lead a cross-functional team and ensure readiness for 4M & 1E milestones.

The role requires coordinating with the program manager, managing hiring, training, and certification gaps, and monitoring productivity against targets. The ideal candidate holds a science degree with at least 2 years in program management, and demonstrates strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or its equivalents; minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in Program Management.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional coordination能力.

• Lead the internal cross-functional team on 800G and above on 4M & 1E readiness.
• Work with local program manager to align IPH readiness on 4M & 1E.
• Ensure basic resources readiness and address hiring/training/certification gaps.
• Monitor early process UPH to meet the productivity model.
• Oversee NPI Alpha, Beta samples & REL deliverables.
• Review and report 4M & 1E readiness vs goals.
• Register, track, and review readiness with clear issues and owners.
• Escalate high-risk situations involving customer escalation or safety; propose solutions with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance to ISO requirements and company regulations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the internal cross-functional team on 800G and above on 4M & 1E Readiness.
• Work intimately with local program manager & using the product development schedule to align IPH internal readiness on 4M & 1E.
• Ensure basic resources readiness on human capital infra are ready timeliness inclusive of ironing out the gaps on product specific hiring, training, certification activities.
• Monitor the early process UPH to meet the productivity model set.
• Have the same NPI Alpha, Beta samples & REL deliverables.
• Review & Report the 4M & 1E progress readiness vs goals set.
• Register, track, review the 4M & 1E Readiness with clear Issue registered, issue owner & timing for estimated closure.
• Escalate for high risks situation that involve customer’s escalation or work safety. To propose potential solution the issue as aligned w/ Program Manager/Stakeholder
• Ensure the Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.

Education & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Science or its equivalents with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in Program Management

• Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp. R&D.

Working Conditions

• This role is 100% onsite in Ipoh.
• Also required to support and to be based on other sites within Malaysia.
