Job summary

KYOCERA AVX Components (Penang) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Trainer to develop and deliver operational training programs for production staff. You will design training materials, conduct sessions, and assess Line Trainer performance to support continuous improvement and compliance with industry standards.

You will oversee the coordination and planning of tasks for line trainers, monitor progress, and provide mentorship to enhance training effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop clear and concise training materials.
• Familiarity with basic training software and tools.
• Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of trainers.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address training challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver training programs for new hires, line trainers and operational staff.
• Oversee the coordination and planning of tasks for line trainers, ensuring training activities align with goals.
• Follow up on the progress of line trainers and their trainees, providing guidance and support.
• Conduct onboarding and job-specific training, ongoing training, retraining, and recertification.
• Assess trainees and Line Trainers through tests and observations, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain records of training activities, attendance, results, and completion.
• Ensure training programs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Continuously evaluate and improve training programs based on feedback and changing requirements.
• Develop and update training materials and visual aids for the manufacturing line.
• Conduct level grading exercises for employees.
• Prepare weekly progress reports on operational training activities.
• Promote participation in zero defect culture and improvement idea programs.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to line trainers.
