in Penang seeks an electrical/mechatronic test engineer to review customer test checklists, develop test work instructions, and set up test stations. You will provide production support during testing, perform root-cause analysis, train technicians, and collaborate with Electrical, Process, Quality and Production teams to ensure robust functional testing and timely production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with C/C++ programming or scripting for test development, automation, and failure analysis.
• Experience in product testing, debugging, or manufacturing test environments.
• Strong hands-on skills in functional testing, failure analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with test documentation, WI preparation, and test station setup.
• Ability to analyze test data and prepare clear technical reports.
• Good communication skills and ability to train production technicians.
• Hands-on and willing to support urgent production or shipment needs.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret customer test checklists and test requirements to ensure full test coverage and compliance.
• Develop, maintain, and control test Work Instructions (WI) and test procedures for production use.
• Define, set up, and validate test stations, including equipment, fixtures, software, and test parameters.
• Provide engineering support to production during testing and commissioning activities.
• Perform debugging and root cause analysis on failed test units and define corrective actions.
• Support rework and repair activities for test failures to ensure timely production recovery.
• Prepare and maintain test reports, failure analysis reports, and yield summaries.
• Train and guide production testing technicians on test procedures, equipment usage, and failure handling.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Process, Quality, and Production teams to resolve test related issues.
• Support NPI, pilot runs, and mass production testing activities.
