Job summary

EcoOils is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor to oversee manpower planning and shift duties at the plant in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia. You will manage the workforce during breakdowns, ensure PPE usage, and strive to meet production targets with quality and efficient utility use.

You will maintain records, coordinate with other departments, train new staff on safety, and report incidents within 24 hours to minimise downtime and production loss. Emission controls must meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English (both written and speaking).

Responsibilities

• Administer and plan the manpower for the shift duties for smooth operation
• Manage the workforce during any breakdown or emergency shutdown based to requirements
• Ensure all subordinates use proper PPE when working in hazardous conditions
• Ensure targeted production is met with right quality and quantity and utilization of utilities is maximised.
• Ensure proper record keeping and sampling is done properly for quality analysis
• Liaise with subordinates to understand and solve problems arising
• Represent production department when liaising with other departments for repair works, troubleshooting, quality reassurance etc. to ensure optimum condition of the plant
• Screen, plan and authorize other department works in areas inside the plant accordingly with minimum downtime or zero production disturbance.
• Train newly recruited employees of production on the basics and on safety in the working environment
• Follow up on the progress of each new subordinate and test their knowledge in their area of work.
• Execute daily operation following ‘Standard Operating Procedures’ to minimize risks when working
• Prepare incident reports for any incident involving people, company properties or production loss inside the premise within 24 hours, for immediate action
• Ensure all emissions from the premise are in specification of regulation standards for healthy working environment
