EcoOils SDN BHD in Malaysia is hiring a Production Supervisor to oversee shift manpower planning and maintain safe, efficient operations in a chemical processing environment.
You will lead a team to meet quality parameters, conduct data analysis for process improvement, train new staff, and prepare downtime reports and emissions calculations. The role requires a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering and 1–2 years in petrochemical or O&G.
Administer and plan the manpower for the shift for smooth and conducive working environment
Manage the workforce during any breakdowns or emergencies according to requirements
Ensure all subordinates use proper PPE for working in hazardous condition
Ensure production at the required quality parameters with the efficient utilization of utilities.
Ensure the record keeping and samplings done are proper for quality analysis
Handle purchasing of processing aids in accordance with request to maintain uninterrupted production
Liaise with subordinates to understand and solve problems arising
Support troubleshooting for process upsets and abnormalities
Participate, monitor and perform data analysis for any process improvement
Represent production department when liaising with other departments
Screen, plan and authorize other department works in areas inside the plant accordingly with minimum downtime or zero production disturbance
Prepare Monthly Downtime Reports, Monthly GHG calculations and ensure timely submission in OIS of Daily Production Report
Prepare and update Production Work Instruction and process modification forms
Train newly recruited employees of production regarding basic processes and safety in the working environment
Follow up on the progress of each new subordinates and test their knowledge on their ability in relation to work
Evaluate existing manpower competency and conduct refresher training
Execute daily operation following ‘Standard Operating Procedures’ to reduce risk when working
Prepare incident reports for any incidents involving people, company properties or production loss inside the premise within 24 hours for immediate action
Ensure all emissions from the premise are in specification of the Department of Environment regulation and standards.
To comply with all requirements of the systems
To update the record and documentation for the system
Participate in incident investigations
Promote continuous improvement in safety and environmental compliance
ISCC Mass balance & GHG emission calculation
To conduct internal audit on certifications
Involve with any company certification exercise, whenever required
Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering
Minimum 1-2 years experience in Petrochemical/Chemical or Oil and Gas industry
