Job summary

KL-Kepong Oleomas Sdn Bhd is seeking a Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) professional to assist the SSHE Manager in coordinating activities across the site. The role involves liaising with external authorities, guiding day-to-day SHE operations, and promoting robust safety programs.

You will support incident investigations, drive continual improvement of workplace safety, and maintain SHE documentation for project sites. A strong safety background and relevant certifications are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ working experience in a manufacturing industry.
  • DOSH Registered Safety Officer is required.
  • Safety Diploma/Certificate from NIOSH (Green Book) is required.
  • Knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001 is an advantage.

  • Assist SSHE Manager in managing SSHE activities.
  • As liaison person to communicate with external parties with relate to SSHE practices.
  • Managing subordinates in day-to-day SSHE operation.
  • Handling day to day SSHE issues & promote SSHE practices and programs in work place.
  • Ensure company activities are in line with all applicable Occupational Safety and Health Act and its Regulations, Environment Quality Act and its Regulation and Fire Services Act and its Regulations.

  • Support on-site accident and incident investigations, prepare reports and provide recommendations as appropriate.
  • Coordinate & facilitate the continual development & improvement of workplace safety, health and environment.
  • Coordinate and maintain SHE requirements for project-based sites.
  • Inspect specified areas for fire prevention equipment and other safety equipment and first aid supplies and ensure all in good in conditions
  • To conduct safety briefing to contractors / new employees on the safety regulations of Oleomas and Davos site and to ensure that they follow accordingly.
  • Handling day to day SHE issues and promote SHE practices and programs in work place.
  • Support in emergency response & safety drills. Act as Log Keeper for Emergency Management Team.
  • Maintain SHE records, reports, permits and documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

Safety Diploma/Certificate from NIOSH (Green Book)

Minimum 5 years’ working experience in a manufacturing industry

DOSH Registered Safety Officer

Good networking skill with ability to liaise with relevant government authorities.

Knowledge in ISO14001 and ISO45001 systems is an advantage.
