Job summary

City of Shakopee, MN is seeking a highly organized Production Scheduler to plan and execute daily and weekly schedules to meet customer demand while balancing capacity and material constraints.

The role partners with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to optimize throughput, reduce cycle times, and improve on-time delivery. You will monitor WIP, coordinate with production, and drive schedule adherence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Production Planning or Scheduling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Excel; Power BI is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules.
• Prioritize and sequence jobs based on demand, capacity, and constraints.
• Monitor schedule attainment, WIP flow, and production performance.
• Manage escalations and recovery plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve material, capacity, and delivery issues.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve throughput and delivery performance.
