Job summary

Palsgaard Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Process Engineer to provide operational and technical support across Production and Project functions. The role strengthens day-to-day production support while enabling cross-functional improvement initiatives and strategic projects, including the D365FO implementation.

You will collaborate with Production, Project Office, Supply Chain, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve operational challenges and ensure continuity of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in food, oleochemical, petrochemical, manufacturing, or similar process industries
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process control, process optimization, and operational problem-solving
• Experience supporting continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and operational excellence initiatives
• Familiarity with ERP systems (such as D365, SAP, Oracle), MES, and industrial automation systems
• Knowledge of production performance metrics, including OEE and KPI management
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across operational and other departments
• Comfortable working in cross-functional and matrix environments
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Self-motivated, adaptable, collaborative, and hands-on in approach

Responsibilities

• Support daily production operations and resolution of process-related challenges
• Drive and support NC investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions
• Support and facilitate OEE improvement initiatives
• Troubleshoot process and equipment-related challenges with Production and Maintenance
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, efficiency and reliability
• Develop, review, and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and operating standards
• Provide technical support and guidance to operators, supervisors, and production personnel
• Assist in monitoring process performance and identifying improvement opportunities via data analysis
• Support site improvement projects through coordination and operational assistance
• Assist project teams in planning, execution, follow-up, and reporting related to project implementation
• Coordinate follow-up actions across functions to ensure effective implementations of projects
• Participate in system testing and user acceptance testing for new processes, equipment and technologies
• Assist with change management, training preparation, and process documentation for new systems
• Involve in problem solving and project-related improvement activities
• Facilitate communication between operations and project teams for alignment
